It Glows, It Searches—

It Glows, It Searches is
a one time night lighting performance in New York City, by and for its people.

Like a firefly, a window flashes in patterns that are unique
to itself—it exists as its own optical signal, as well as part of the overall flashing ritual
of the Manhattan night skyline.

During It Glows, It Searches—which is best experienced from Brooklyn Heights Promenade—Manhattan's windows will be choreographed in a skyline—
or environment—of blinking patterns that explore and reflect the human experience amidst the urban landscape.

All participating buildings
will receive guide sheets
with instructions to each resident on when to turn
their lights on—participants
will be given a light switch plate, designed for the event.
